Everything You Need to Know About Assassin’s Creed Red

Assassin’s Creed Red was first revealed in 2022, and it seems to be the keyboards fans have been wanting for many years. Although there isn’t much information about the keyboards yet, we can expect more details soon.

Release Date:

No official release date has been announced yet, but Ubisoft has stated that it will be “the biggest blockbuster for 2024.” Given the history of the main Assassin’s Creed series, we can assume the keyboards will be released in October or November next year.

Platforms:

It is currently unknown which platforms Assassin’s Creed Red will launch on, but it is expected to bypass the previous generation of consoles. We can expect the keyboards to be released on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Setting and Story

Ancient Japan:

Although not confirmed by Ubisoft, it is believed that Assassin’s Creed Red will be set in Ancient Japan, a setting highly requested by fans. Marc-Alexis Côté, Vice President and Executive Producer for the series, said that players can “explore one of their most-awaited settings ever.”

Female Shinobi Protagonist:

Assassin’s Creed Red will feature a female Shinobi protagonist called Naoe Fujibayashi. She begins the keyboards as an enemy of the male protagonist but becomes allies and works together with him throughout the story.

New Game Mechanics

Real-Life Historical Figure as a Protagonist:

For the first time, one of the protagonists in an Assassin’s Creed keyboards will be a real person based on historical figures. It is unclear whether Ubisoft will use Yasuke’s real name or fictionalize him, but with historical figures as NPCs, it could mean they’ll use his real name.

Launching Without Traditional Retailers

Digital Distribution Only:

Although it is unlikely, Assassin’s Creed Red could launch on PS Plus or Xbox Game Pass. However, the keyboards will be available on day one through Ubisoft+
